Ali Nasseri has been telling stories in the form of documentary photographs for the past 20 years. His work is provocative and raw with uncompromising credibility. He presents a point of view that is curious without being judgmental. The inspiration from his documentary photographs informs his approach to commercial work, resonating with brands that value emotional connection and humour. His work has been published in books and magazines and appears in billboards and galleries. His first monograph “Bondi Republic” published by Allen and Unwin and his second “Today is to Dance” independently, both sold out. His third book “The last slice” a documentary series about the closure of the iconic Sydney Frankie’s Pizza as well as his photographs documenting Kings Cross in 2012 prior to lock out laws taking effect are both to be released in 2023.
