Micaela Mclucas is a photographic artist working between Sydney, London, NYC, and her hometown of Los Angeles. Her colourful work straddles the fine art and commercial worlds and is known for challenging traditional attitudes of the female gaze through its intimacy. Micaela’s hunger to explore has had an explosive effect on her art work and her greater sense of wonder at being present in world. She captures people and places in a manner which approaches absolute candour, as her subjects are unveiled before the lens in a way that makes you just want to know more. Her advertising clients include Pepsi, Marriott, Rolls Royce, Adidas and more. Micaela layers her experiences within her art just as she layers colour, to form a juxtaposition of truth and altered states. Addicted to making work, always on a plane, always digging deeper and experimenting with technique.
